Unforgettable: a user asked us if he could take a special course in mountain lake diving with us in Dahab. Sure \u2013 we’ll just unpack our mountains, fill the Blue Hole with fresh water and put a few trout in it. Spoiler: we’re right on the Red Sea. No mountains. No fresh water. Also nice: a request asking whether day trips to the Brother Islands could be made from our base in Dahab. For those who are geographically precise: the Brother Islands are a good 500 kilometres south \u2013 in the middle of the sea. Day trip? Sure \u2013 if you arrive by jet. Or own a submarine. Another example from real life: while working with a large tour operator, we received a booking for a 5-day diving package. Once we arrived on site, it turned out that the customer did not have a diving licence. When asked, he explained that he had booked online \u2013 and that the 5-day diving package was simply cheaper than an open water course. Advice from a diving school or travel agency would definitely have helped here.
