Camel diving to Ras Abu Gallum \u2013 sounds like an adventure from One Thousand and One Nights, doesn’t it?<\/strong> And that’s exactly what it is! Imagine: you saddle a camel at the edge of the desert, the sun glitters over the Red Sea, and ahead of you lies a very special kind of diving trip. No mass tourism, no hotel complexes \u2013 just you, your buddy, a few Bedouins and pure nature.<\/p>\n\n

This experience is not for spontaneous snorkellers \u2013 it is for those who want to combine diving with authentic stories, intense impressions and a touch of wilderness. Those who reach Ras Abu Gallum by camel will not only find pristine reefs, but also campfires, starry skies and a feeling of freedom that you will never forget.<\/p>\n\n

Procedure – How your camel diving safari work<\/h3>\n\n

  1. Departure from Dahab<\/strong>The day begins early \u2013 usually with a pick-up in a jeep from the dive centre to the Blue Hole. There, all the diving equipment is loaded onto camels.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. The caravan sets off<\/strong>The “camel diving” begins: over the rugged coastline, past rock formations and steep slopes \u2013 a landscape so unspoilt that it could have come straight out of the Jurassic period.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Arrival in Ras Abu Galum<\/strong>After about an hour to an hour and a half, you will reach the Blue Lagoon<\/strong> in Ras Abu Galum. Here, a small Bedouin family will welcome you, offering tea, simplicity and pure tranquillity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Diving experience in unspoilt nature<\/strong>Now it’s time to dive beneath the surface of the water: colourful coral gardens, reefs, peaceful schools of fish and the occasional visiting turtle or eagle ray await you \u2013 the underwater world is particularly dense and colourful in the north.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
